It appears that March Madness betting has managed to boost sports betting figures across the Nation.

According to figures released by the Delaware Lottery, a total of $16.1m was wagered on sports in Delaware in March, a slight decrease from the $16.4m bet in February.

Although there was a slight decrease in sports betting handle, sportsbooks posted a significant increase in sports betting revenue.

The state’s three sportsbooks posted a combined revenue of $1.6m, up from $22,152 in February.

Breaking down the figures, Delaware Park continued to lead the market with a handle of $6.6m and revenue of $1.04m.

Dover Downs took about $2.1m in bets and held onto $328,150 while Harrington Raceway generated $279,450 in revenue from $1.8m in bets.

Elsewhere in the US, sportsbooks in New Jersey and Pennsylvania have seen a boost in sports betting figures thanks to March Madness betting.

New Jersey’s sports betting market managed to generate $31.7m in revenue from $372m in bets.

Pennsylvania’s sports betting market saw a strong level of growth in March with $44.5m bet on sports and sportsbooks holding on to $5.5m.
