On Tuesday, Golden Nugget Casino launched its online sports betting platform in New Jersey.

The Golden Nugget sportsbook is powered by SBTech and has been integrated into the existing Golden Nugget casino site. Golden Nugget now operates both a land-based and online sportsbook in New Jersey.

Bettors in New Jersey can bet on a variety of professional and collegiate sports with Golden Nugget.

However, because the owner of Golden Nugget, Tilman Fertitta, owns the Houston Rockets, New Jersey’s regulations forbid Golden Nugget from taking bets on NBA games.

The Golden Nugget online sportsbook can be accessed via desktop and mobile devices, including Android and iOS.

The launch of Golden Nugget’s online sportsbook brings the total number of legal online sportsbooks in New Jersey to 13.

As online sports betting operations continue to expand it will only strengthen the thriving New Jersey sports betting market.

Figures released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) showed that a total of $385m was wagered on sports in January. The figures show that over 80% of sports bets were placed either online or via mobile devices.

This move will also help push Golden Nugget ahead of other sportsbooks in the state. In January, Golden Nugget’s land-based sportsbook generated just $27,287 in revenue.
